OpTic Gaming Signs DOTA Team

In the weekly episode of Vision streamed on Twitch by OpTic Gaming, after the confirmation of their entry into the Overwatch League, CEO Hector Rodriguez surprises the viewers with the unveiling of the orgs entry in to DOTA eSports. The Orgs first venture ouside the FPS Scene. Hecz alongside OpTic J mention the amount of secrecy kept in the process in announcing the lineup. Team played under the name 'The Dire' until the announcement was made official. The roster was originally formed during the post-TI7 rostermania.

The roster consists of:

  • Peter 'PPD' Dager (Captain)
  • Ludwig 'Zai' Wahlberg
  • Per Anders 'Pajkatt' Olsson Lille
  • Quinn 'CCNC' Callahan
  • Rasmus 'Misery' Filipsen


Peter Dager the former CEO of Multi-eSport Organization Evil Geniuses, will be "Leading the charge" as mentioned by Hecz. The team is temporarily located in Dallas in order to Boot Camp for numerous tournaments and qualifiers to take place. The team has set eyes to partake in four qualifiers whilst their time here in the US, before they have to return to their homes.

Some Accolades under the name ' The Dire":

Qualified for the upcoming DOTA Summit 8 Minor by winning King's Cup: America. Also recently participating in ESL One Hamburg 2017 and PGL Open Bucharest 2017.


OpTic Gaming now has teams in Call of Duty, Halo, CS:GO, Gears of War, Overwatch, and now DOTA.
